'Jackass' Director Jeff Tremaine Granted Restraining Order Against Bam Margera
The legal order comes after Margera sent the filmmaker and his family death threats
Published Jun 16, 2021In an increasingly messy lead-up to Jackass 4, director Jeff Tremaine has been officially granted a restraining order against Bam Margera, who was fired from the upcoming film.
On Tuesday (June 15), a court ordered that Margera must keep at least 100 yards — or 91 metres — away from Tremaine and his family for the next three years, TMZ reports. In fact, Margera is also not allowed to contact the filmmaker in any way, shape or form during this period.
As previously reported, Tremaine requested the order early this month after Margera allegedly sent death threats to the director and his family. According to the director, Margera had been harassing him for months, with the treats against Tremaine and his family getting increasingly serious.
Screenshots posted by TMZ found Margera telling Tremaine and Johnny Knoxville to "pencil in there [sic] death certificate."
Further, he allegedly wrote, "Look at your children and grab your pocket book and write a check, if you are greedy, and cheap, look at your children again. If you don't sign the paper, look at you children. Sign your stupid f***ing contract before your [sic] not safe anywhere."
It's still unclear if any of Margera's initial footage will be included in Jackass 4, but the film is due in theatres on October 22.
